tabatha + quentin married.

After our engagement session with Tabatha and Quentin, we were so excited to capture their wedding! It was easily after that day that we counted them as friends and celebrated right alongside their family as they said their vows to one another one crisp January morning. We met Tabatha last year at Atlanta's Wedding Day Hooray (ahem...which we'll be at this Saturday!) and couldn't wait to see all the details she promised she was working on. And she did not disappoint! People, this was a DIY treasure hunt!

A little flip from our normal wedding day schedule, we left home when it was dark and the wedding ended while daylight lingered. But this brunch wedding was beyond beautiful! Not to mention we had our first french toast wedding meal--definitely a delicious touch. And to add to our excitement, these two ordered mini cupcakes from our friends over at Miss Mamie's as thank you gifts!

As morning broke and mimosas were being poured, we met Tabatha and her family as they got ready for the big day with special details tucked in every corner.

Tabatha, you're just stunning! These moments before walking down those stairs to marry your man were simple, exquisite and precious.

As the ceremony time approached, so did the pending storm that had been setting off our weather radars since we woke up. But the sound of the rain beating down on the roof was a welcome accompaniment to beautiful vows. And it turns out, the bride and groom love a good thunderstorm! (perfect.)

After the "I dos," the crew at the Waterstone Conservatory did an excellent job of bringing together a brunch buffet while we took family photos--mini quiche, muffins and bacon to boot! (Not to mention the array of breakfast cereals--all favorites of the groom!)

Normally we don't share many "formal" family photos on the blog, but we thought a couple of these were pretty funny. Did we mention the groom is an identical twin? And that they were wearing the same suit the day of the wedding? Yeah, they tried to pull a fast one on us before we caught the tie color difference!

These are seriously the most adorable purple paper hearts floating from their getaway car (the Porsche Quentin's been fixin' up for his bride!). And it stopped raining for the bride and groom to make their grand exit!

After a late afternoon exit, the newly married couple drove around the block and met us in downtown Acworth for a few couple portraits before leaving for their honeymoon. This was really exciting for all of us because Tabatha and Quentin were able to have some intimate time to themselves as Mr. and Mrs. without worrying about awaiting guests and we got to roam about town freely. This time was relaxed and joyful for all of us, and it really rounded out their day perfectly.

Many thanks, Tabatha and Quentin! It was an honor to be there to photograph your wedding! Hope to see you again soon!
