I'm so glad these two got exactly what they wanted for Christmas!

 There's no doubt he fell quickly for her sweet spirit and contagious smile. And she can't help but love his quick wit and love for the written word. These two are a perfect match and we can't wait to photograph their wedding next year!

This gal is going to take next year by storm!

We've been working with Avis, owner of Avie Designs, to capture some new head shots and photos of her full product line ready for her brand new web site coming out next year. Can't wait until her full reveal! She is one talented stationery designer and her work is going to blow you away!

As we spent two full days with Avis photographing her work in her beautiful melon-colored studio, she was even snapping a few shots of us! Check out a behind-the-scenes look at us at work over on her blog.

 Their wedding in Colorado was breathtaking. And to know these two for a minute is to love them. We thought we couldn't adore Bruce and Heidi any more. And then they went and had this little guy.

Welcome to the world, little Jack! Your parents are simply amazing and you are one blessed little boy. Thanks for having us up to visit you in Omaha to celebrate your birth day!

safehouse outreach christmas party

 "To affect real change in the lives of those in the margins of society by providing a hand up, not just a handout."

We're so happy to get behind SafeHouse Outreach (SHO) and their mission for the city of Atlanta. A couple times a year, it's an honor for us to be able to use our gifts to give back to our neighbors. This past weekend Tin Can, along with some great help from JGwynArt and JD Scott Photography, got the chance to make family portraits for the folks attending the SafeHouse Christmas party.

After handing a printed image to one mother, she explained to us this was their first family photo. Wow. Helping someone to create a family legacy is an amazing task I'm humbled to be a part of.

Philip and Dacia Bray, the founders of SafeHouse and friends to all they meet, are a gift to the city. Their work, serving and teaching others to serve, is a beautiful example to follow--especially at this time of year.

Happy Monday!

We've got a full week with lots of editing and packaging planned. And I'm so thankful for this! Not only do we have our usual culprits--engagements, weddings and families--we've also been branching out into photographing head shots this year.

Capturing head shots is great! Getting to know someone and working to get a shot that is representative of who they are and what they do is an awesome challenge.

This year may be coming to a close, but we don't feel like we're reading the last chapter in a book. Actually, we're experiencing just the opposite sensation. We're strapping ourselves in as Tin Can gets ready to launch into an exciting and adventurous new year.

hibbard family

 We love the Hibbard family!

Capturing some annual family photos for this family is always a good time. Just the difference in these two littles from last year to now is amazing. They're growing into such awesome little people. Blessed with parents who both have such astonishing talent and strong work ethic, I know these two kids are going to be taught to conquer great things in their lives. It's fun to get a glimmer of good things to come for the future.

Even though it was a little chilly (and muddy), these guys didn't let anything stand in the way of a great session. We're so grateful we got to see you all again!
