Georgian Terrace Bridal Open House

White marble columns, glittering chandeliers, and huge windows bathing the front entrance and grand ballroom in beautiful sunlight. The Georgian Terrace is not only a historic Atlanta landmark, it's dripping in elegance and grace.

Each little facet of the hotel looked even more magnificent than usual recently at a bridal open house where talented vendors took over and dressed the space to the nines.

I love little pieces of local history, so just getting to step foot into the same hotel where the cast of Gone With the Wind has partied and Walt Disney has stayed was so exciting. Getting to photograph this event was like putting my own little notch on the line of Atlanta history.

It would be a pretty special place to tie the knot!

Featured l 100 Layer Cakelet l Atlanta Backyard Baby Shower

 BBQ, Baby & Brews!

I'm excited to finally share an awesome backyard baby shower we got the opportunity to photograph. It was picked up by the spectacular 100 Layer Cake-let, the family site to the wonderfully curated wedding site, 100 Layer Cake. If you followed this wedding blog for inspiration as a bride, you're going to love the Cakelet side!

If you're like me and the "typical" baby shower games make you wince just a little bit, you're going to gush at how these guests got to enjoy yard games, BBQ, a guess-the-day-and-gender baby pool, a custom bourbon lemonade cocktail, banana pudding baked into mini mason jars and a Photobooth with guess-the-gender props. What a way to enjoy the afternoon and celebrate!

With boxed invites that would knock your socks off and paper goods galore by the talented Foglio Press and custom linens by I Do Linens that fit the party perfectly, this event was simply fantastic! I know this day was covered in love by all the folks who were a part of celebrating this family.

Check out the feature HERE!

Oh, right...and they had a handsome baby boy!

Bethany + Johnathan l M. Rich Building Wedding

Billowing blossoms of white hydrangeas filled vases going atop every table, and a parade of little gold-painted animals marched out to become place card holders for incoming guests. A custom topper was placed on a chocolate buttercream cake, and a garden of paper flowers was carried in; each bloom carefully affixed all over the building. Even handcrafted Atlanta map coasters were tied up with twine and put in baskets as parting gifts.

Although the rain held off until the newlyweds departed, this sweet morning wedding at the M. Rich Building in downtown Atlanta was flooded with handmade details and history. It was such a joy to shoot the wedding of two beautiful artists as well as make some images in a building that has been a part of Atlanta's skyline since 1907.

Bethany and Johnathan, thanks so much for allowing us to document your wedding day!
